Saint Sava was a Serbian prince, Orthodox monk, the first Archbishop of the Serbian Church, the founder of Serbian law, an illuminator and a diplomat. Saint Sava is considered to be a founder of independent Serbian literature. Sava founded and reconstructed churches and monasteries wherever he stayed. He was known for his wisdom, and a humble life he led.
Sveti Sava je bio srpski princ, pravoslavni monah, prvi arhiepiskop srpske pravoslavne crkve, tvorac srpskog zakona, prosvetitelj i diplomata. Sveti Sava se smatra začetnikom srpske književnosti. Obnavljao je crkve i manastire. Bio je poznat po svojoj mudrosti i skromnom načinu života.
Nikola Tesla was a son of the Serbian priest. He was a Serbian American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. In 1891, at the age of 35, Tesla became a naturalized citizen of the United States. He worked for Thomas Edison. Despite having sold his AC electricity patents, Tesla died impoverished and in debt. Tesla obtained around 300 patents worldwide for his inventions.
Nikola Tesla je bio sin srpskog sveštenika. Bio je srpsko-američki izumitelj, inženjer, fizičar i futurista. Dao je doprinos stvaranju modernog sistema za snabdevanje naizmeničnom strujom. 1891. je postao državljanin Amerike. Radio je sa Tomasom Edisonom. Uprkos prodaji svojih patenta, Tesla je umro u siromaštvu i dugovima.
Vuk Stefanović Karadžić was a Serbian philologist, linquist, and the reformer of the Serbian language. He collected songs, fairy tales, and riddles, and he studied Serbian folklore. He was also the author of the first Serbian dictionary in his new reformed language. He created Serbian Cyrilic alphabet called azbuka. Azbuka contains 30 letters. His moto was "write like you talk, read like it is written".
Vuk Stefanović Karadžić je bio srpski filolog, lingvista i reformator srpskog jezika. Sakupljao je narodne pesme, bajke i zagonetke i proučavao srpski folklor. Bio je autor prvog srpskog rečnika. Stvorio je srpsko ćirilično pismo – azbuku. Azbuka ima 30 slova. Njegov moto je bio: "Piši kao što govoris, čitaj kao što je napisano".
